Zoom Boom for Kids
Children in Junior Infants, Senior Infants & 1st class are currently participating in an 8 week activity programme based on child developmental milestones (Gross and fine motor, play and social development skills). It is called Zoom Boom Kids. The 1 hour sessions are delivered by Aisling Doonan, who focuses on flexibility, cardio, strength (core, lower and upper body) co-ordination and balance through fun games and activities.

Rose of Tralee visit
Poetry, singing and banners greeted Elysha Brennan (current Rose of Tralee) when she visited St. Brigid's NS today. The boys and girls had a questions & answers session with the rose during her visit. Elysha concluded the visit by planting a shrub which we will put in the school garden to remember the occasion.

BT Young Scientist- RDS Primary Science Fair 2016
St. Brigid's N.S. made its first ever appearance at the RDS Primary Science Fair this year on Thursday 7th January. 4th, 5th and 6th Class completed a project based around the topic of electricity. The children learned all about electricity and how electrical appliances work. They designed and made a mini golf course powered by a simple circuit. A great day was had by all with some of the children even featuring on RTE News2Day. Callum selected for digital advertisment
There was lots of cameras and media personnel at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition 2016. One of the companies were assigned the task of creating a digital advertisement to promote the Primary Science Fair. Callum was asked to participate in this by the camera crew along with 6 other children who were at the RDS.

Get Fit Training Programme
The Parents Association together with Redhills G.A.C are running an 8 week Get Fit Training Programme for all levels to target 5k or 10k distances commencing on Monday 18th January 2016. Registration is on Monday 18thJanuary 2016 from 7.15pm to 8pm in Redhills Clubrooms. Cost for 8 weeks is €50 for club members or €80 for non club members Reduced rates will be available at registration for students and couples.
