All the boys and girls enjoyed getting in the St.Patrick's Day spirit today for our annual Lá Glas!

The shining stars have been learning all about bee’s over the past few weeks. We learned about the parts of a bee, how bees make honey and all about pollination! Take a look at some of the things we got up to.

As part of the Green Schools programme we are currently working on the travel theme. As part of our work on promoting sustainable travel to and from school, we have decided to launch a “No Idling” campaign outside the school gates. All vehicle owners are asked to turn their engines off whilst they wait to help improve air quality, reduce emissions and create a healthier environment around our school gates. By making this simple change, we can make a real difference and improve the quality of air we all breathe. Let’s give it a go! Here are some facts and myths on idling!

Lots of tasty pancakes were enjoyed around the school today as we celebrated Pancake Tuesday!

The Shining STARS have been learning about people in our community that help us. We have also been working on the very important life skill: knowing our address. As part of this, we made some valentines cards and posted them in our local post office.

The Shining STARS have been learning all bout those in our community that help us. As part of this we visited Cavan Garda Station. We got to explore the garda station, see the jail cells and even got to sit in the Garda car.

The Shooting Stars have been learning about volcanoes in January. It's clear that they really enjoyed their experiment seeing how a volcano might erupt.  

The children in our Shooting Stars class have been very busy since returning to school. They recently got a taste of cooking, and their lovely looking buns.
