Third and fourth class have been learning all about report writing and have wrote their own book. We each picked an animal that we wanted to know more about and then used the laptops to do some research. We wrote some fantastic reports on different animals such as dolphins, tigers, polar bears, parrots and wolves. We found out lots of interesting facts so we decided to put them all together in a book. Here are some pictures of us at work.

Our Green School Committee are continuing the great work of last years committee and are working towards achieving our third Green flag based on the theme of water. Our committee members Noah, Nicole, Cara, Jessica, Dawid, James, Keeva, Chloe and Dylan are doing great work with maintaining our two other flags, as well as focusing on conserving water in the school.

Our annual Christmas plays were held in the Community Centre last Tuesday and Wednesday. All of the children put on a fantastic performance. Many thanks to everyone who attended the event. Here are a few pictures from the night...

Well done to 3rd and 4th class who have been working hard on their projects for the 'Young Engineers Award Competition'. They have been working hard as busy engineers over the past few weeks designing and making their project prototypes. Some of their brilliant ideas included: An environmental water pollution hoover, camouflage spy cameras, a water pollution filter machine and a Garda alert fob. Everyone in St. Brigid's National School has been preparing for our whole school assembly which was held today. The theme of our assembly was 'generosity'. A huge thank you to Alicia for coming in to talk to 5th and 6th class today about nutrition and in particular the amount of sugar we consume each day. It was a very informative talk and we will try out best to make healthier food choices going forward.
