Our Junior Infants have been learning about solids and liquids in Science. To explore how materials can change, we made Rice Krispie buns. First, we looked at the chocolate, which was a solid. When we heated it, we watched it melt and turn into a liquid. We mixed the melted chocolate with Rice Krispies and spooned the mixture into bun cases. After cooling, the chocolate turned solid again. A fun (and tasty!) way to see science in action!

We are so proud of our 5th and 6th class girls who headed to the Young Scientists Exhibition last Friday. The presented their experiment ''Super Soil Showdown'. They received a plaque for their school and a certificate each for their hard work. Well done girls!

All the classes throughout the school are partking in gymnastics with LA Gymnastics for the next 6 weeks. The boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed their first week and learned some new stretches and skills. We are looking forward to the next 5 weeks.

The Rising Stars have been enjoying lots of different Christmas themed activities over the last few weeks including: sensory play, art, music and baking.

We had a wonderful time celebrating the festive season with our school Christmas shows, which took place in St. Brigid's Church last week. It was a joyful occasion filled with music, laughter and fantastic performances from all our pupils. A huge well done to all our pupils for their effort, confidence and creativity. Shooting STARS class have been getting in the festive spirit by making some delicious treats. They baked and decorated gingerbread men as well as tasty hot chocolate.

We are delighted to tell you that our school calendars are now available to purchase. This is a fun and creative school fundraiser — a 2026 School Calendar featuring photos of our very own students! A calendar where each birthday month displays the photos of the children who celebrate their birthdays during that month. For example, children with birthdays in March will appear on the March page, and so on.
