Solids and liquids in Junior Infants

Our Junior Infants have been learning about solids and liquids in Science. To explore how materials can change, we made Rice Krispie buns. First, we looked at the chocolate, which was a solid. When we heated it, we watched it melt and turn into a liquid. We mixed the melted chocolate with Rice Krispies and spooned the mixture into bun cases. After cooling, the chocolate turned solid again. A fun (and tasty!) way to see science in action!

Christmas Show

We had a wonderful time celebrating the festive season with our school Christmas shows, which took place in St. Brigid's Church last week. It was a joyful occasion filled with music, laughter and fantastic performances from all our pupils. A huge well done to all our pupils for their effort, confidence and creativity. Thank you also to our wonderful staff for their dedication in preparing the children, and to our families and community for joining us and supporting our school. Christmas Calendar

We are delighted to tell you that our school calendars are now available to purchase. This is a fun and creative school fundraiser — a 2026 School Calendar featuring photos of our very own students! A calendar where each birthday month displays the photos of the children who celebrate their birthdays during that month. For example, children with birthdays in March will appear on the March page, and so on.
