Today we celebrated our amazing grandparents on Grandparents day. We held a whole school assembly outside in the sunshine and were joined by our grandparents. It’s was absolutely beautiful. Thank you to all who were involved and to our very talented musicians.
The Shining STARS had a wonderful day trip to Rossmore park. The weather was beautiful and the boys spent time playing in the play park and walking around the woods. Here is a look at what they got up to.
Today we celebrated autism awareness day. The boys and girls throughout the school got to experience lots of different activities while learning about autism and inclusivity. We explored different lessons and stories, had a silent break time and a colour run from Shannow Woods.

On March 21st 2025 we celebrated World Down Syndrome Day. To mark the day we all took part in the 'lots of socks event' to raise funds for Down Syndrome Ireland. Students and staff rocked some colourful and funky socks for the day. We raised a total of €210. Thank you to everyone who donated!
Last week we celebrated Seachtain Na Gaeilge. We enjoyed a vareity of Gaeilge activities throughout the week including a tráth na gceist, treasure hunt and our annual Lá Glas. We learned a variety of irish songs and céili dances as well as the Hacka as Gaeilge.
On Thursday 6th March 2025 we celebrated World Book Day. The boys and girls came to school dressed up as their favourite story book character. The costumes were fantastic as usual and it was a great day for all.
Thank you to our wonderful secretary Annmarie for making all the boys and girls in the school delicious pancakes for Pancake Tuesday. We enjoyed them with some tasty toppings!
