To celebrate what would have been Roald Dahl's 100th birthday, the children in St. Brigid's NS participated in many fun and exciting activities to mark the occasion including a reading of The Twits by Mr. Mc Phillips, a Roald Dahl quiz, the Brucey Challenge (Mr. Mc Phillips vs Mr.Kerins) and also some games such as Boggis, Bunce and Bean. The children also had the opportunity to sample some of Mrs. Twit's wormy spaghetti. Yuck!!!      

The opening school year mass will take place in St. Brigid's Church, Killoughter on Friday 30th September at 12 noon. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Our Annual Green Schools Halloween Fashion Show will take place on Friday 28th October at 9.30am. We would encourage the children to make their costumes out of recyclable materials. Where this is not possible, we would still like the children to dress up and come along and enjoy the day. Have a look below at some of the costumes from last year. We are two weeks into the new school year and as you can see all the children are settled in and making lots of new friends.
