A massive congratulations and well done to BOTH our girls and boys teams who took home the trophies as Cumann na mBunscol champions yesterday. Each and every child played their hearts out on the pitch and we are so proud of you all. A special thank you to Mr. Faulkner and Ms. Maguire for coaching the teams over the past few weeks. On Thursday 22nd May we headed to Shercock athletics grounds for the Co.Cavan Schools Athletics Championships. We had relay team entries, 60m sprints, 80m sprints and 600m race entries. Well done to everyone who took part.

Last week our Amber Flag committee organised a bring and buy sale in order to raise money for Pieta House. It was a huge success and a total of €820 was raised for the charity.

Well done to our 6th class students who made their Confirmation on Saturday. Thank you to all who were involved in the preparation.

The 6th class students enjoyed a visit to Lough Derg for a religious retreat. A great day was had by all.

Today we celebrated our amazing grandparents on Grandparents day. We held a whole school assembly outside in the sunshine and were joined by our grandparents. It’s was absolutely beautiful. Thank you to all who were involved and to our very talented musicians.

The Shining STARS had a wonderful day trip to Rossmore park. The weather was beautiful and the boys spent time playing in the play park and walking around the woods. Here is a look at what they got up to.

Today we celebrated autism awareness day. The boys and girls throughout the school got to experience lots of different activities while learning about autism and inclusivity. We explored different lessons and stories, had a silent break time and a colour run from Shannow Woods. ...

On March 21st 2025 we celebrated World Down Syndrome Day. To mark the day we all took part in the 'lots of socks event' to raise funds for Down Syndrome Ireland. Students and staff rocked some colourful and funky socks for the day. We raised a total of €210. Thank you to everyone who donated!
