1st and 2nd class have been busy enjoying lots of fun activities over the past few weeks including bricks, skipping, active week, sports day and sunshine in between!

The Shooting STARS class have had a busy few weeks baking, gardening, going on day trips and celebrating important birthdays!

Last week our GP room was full of creativity, imagination, and teamwork during our recent Bricks Day!| The children had a wonderful time exploring, designing, and building amazing creations using LEGO bricks. From colourful houses and towering structures to imaginative vehicles and unique inventions, the children showed fantastic creativity and problem-solving skills. The Rising Stars class have been busy growing their own fruits and vegetables in our school poly-tunnel. They have been taking great care of their plants and are enjoying watching them grow.

Over the past few weeks, our boys' and girls' football teams have proudly represented the school in the Cumann na mBunscol competitions. A special congratulations goes to our girls' football team, who achieved a fantastic victory in the Cumann na mBunscol final last week. The girls displayed great skill, determination, and teamwork on their way to becoming champions, making it a memorable occasion for the entire school community. Music Generation Cavan and Monaghan brought its ‘Music on Wheels Tour’ to our school last week. The show featured Music Educators, Local Musicians and most importantly our children. The children joined in singing, musical games, techniques and simply performing along with the live band. It was a great opportunity for the children to showcase some of what they learned over the year with Music Generation. It was such a fun event. The girls in 5th and 6th class enjoyed a visit to Breifne College as part of the Creative Clusters programme. During the visit, the children participated in a fun drama workshop alongside students from Killyconnan NS and Breifne College. They also had the opportunity to design their own keyrings using CAD technology and finished the day by listening to the completed version of the podcast they had previously recorded with the secondary school students on an earlier visit.
