Bog hopping, canoeing, rock climbing, scavenger hunt, orienteering.... Just some of the activities pupils from Junior Infants to 6th class participated in on their school tour. More photos and pupil accounts to follow next week!    

Two gnomes have found their way to our school garden. We are running a competition to win an Irish Jersey signed by Irish Rugby legend Brian O'Driscoll. All you have to do is name the gnomes, state where you think they have come from and why they have chosen St. Brigid's NS as their new home. Each child received an entry form today. If you would like an additional form they can be obtained from the school.

Congratulations to the five boys and two girls who made their First Holy Communion today. A special thank you to their teacher Mrs. Burns for preparing the children and the wonderful artwork which was on display in the church. Thank you also to Eileen & the Redhill's church choir, Anne Marie, Sr. Rita and Fr. Murphy for all their help in making the ceremony such a special occasion.

St. Brigid's NS sports day will now take place on Sunday 21st June in Redhills GAA pitch. It will be combined with the Carnival Sports Day. Time will be confirmed next week.

Our Rounders team have qualified for the county final following a series of fantastic performances at Breffni Park today. They beat St. Felims, Derrynakesh and Milltown en route to the final. A date for the final has yet to be confirmed.  

First Holy Communion takes place this Saturday 6th June at 11.30 am in St. Brigid's Church. We hope the boys and girls from 2nd class have a wonderful day.
