A huge congratulations to Emma Mulvaney and the Castletara camogie team who beat Lacken in the county final. Emma was captain of the team and led them to victory.

We would like to commend Nicole Woodcock from 3rd class on her brave fundraising venture for the Rapunzel Foundation. Nicole recently donated 16 inches of her hair to the charity, who make wigs for children and young adults who have lost their hair due to various illnesses. The children of the school also supported Nicole by donating generously(Total shortly). Well done to all involved.

Congratulations to Niall Donlon and Darragh Mc Carville, bronze medalists in the art competition at the Cavan County Community Games.

We hosted our inaugural St. Brigid's NS Go Games Blitz in glorious sunshine today. 6 teams took part in a brilliant day of sport and fun. Every player received a medal and refreshments after the game. Thank you to Ms. Maguire for all the time and effort she put into organising this event.  

Today was a joyous occasion for St. Brigid's N.S. This morning John from the Active School Flag Assessment team came to visit and assess our school to see what we have been up to this year as part of the ASF process. Each class and the Active School committee  informed John of all the exciting activities that have been taking place over the past year. John was extremely impressed, in particular with how active the children are both in class and at break times.
