The Rising Stars class have been busy settling back into school over the past few weeks. We have been enjoying lots of different fun and hands on activities. Here is a look at what we have been getting up to:

5th & 6th Class News Over the past few weeks, 5th and 6th Class have been busy with a variety of exciting and creative activities! We began with team building games, where everyone worked together to solve challenges and practise important skills like communication, cooperation and problem-solving. These activities helped us strengthen friendships and learn the value of teamwork. The class also enjoyed a bracelet-making activity, where pupils designed and created their own colourful bracelets. Congratulations to 4th class student Trevor who took part in the Ireland's strongest kid competition in Craigavon at the weekend. Trevor took home the gold medal and the title of Ireland's Strongest Kid. Well done Trevor!!

We are delighted to welcome our new Junior Infants to St.Brigid's National School!It has been wonderful to see so many happy faces starting their school journey with us. We look forward to learning, playing, and growing together throughout the year. A big well done to our Junior Infants on such a great start – we’re so proud of you already!

Junior infants and 1st and 2nd class were joined by some furry friends over the past few weeks…caterpillars. We watched as they formed their chrysalis and patiently waited until they emerged as butterflies right before our eyes. We then released them into our sensory garden. It was such an exciting process and we learned so much.

Yesterday our 1st –6th  Classes took off on their school tour to Shannon River Adventure. They that great craic enjoying both water and land activities. Take a look at what they got up to:

On Friday we held our annual sports day. We got to enjoy lots of different activities such as wacky races, water games, playground games, obstacle courses, table tennis and of course a water fight! We couldn't have had better weather in the sunshine! ...

On Thursday we held a whole school graduation ceremony for our 6th class pupils and for students moving onto new schools in September. It was a beautiful ceremony outside in the sunshine. Presentations were made to our Cumann na mBunscol teams, as well as to the Amber Flag committee. We are very proud of our fantastic 6th class pupils and for all they have achieved during their time with us. We wish you all the very best on your new adventures! ...

Junior and Senior infants had a great day out for their school tour. They went to Rossmore park for a teddy bear picnic and then to Mc. Donalds for their lunch.
