Gymnastics recommenced for the children of St. Brigid's N.S this week. The children will take part in lessons for the next eight weeks. We look forward to seeing all they  learn in the coming weeks.

The children in 5th and 6th class completed an exciting project based on the benefits of growing plants organically. The children showcased their project in the RDS last Thursday as part of the BT Young Scientist Event. A fantastic day was had by all.

The HSE has issued the following guidelines to assist schools with managing the current flu season. What should I do if my child gets sick? If your child gets sick with a flu-like illness as described above you should: Keep your child at home and away from others as much as is possible to avoid spreading infection to others. If they are sick with flu they should stay at home for 5 days from the onset of symptoms. Give your child simple anti-fever medication such as paracetamol or ibuprofen (NB: aspirin should NOT be given to children under 16 years of age) and ensure that they drin...

Well done to the boys and girls in 3rd and 4th Class who sewed these lovely Christmas stockings and decorated them so beautifully. Hopefully they were full of nice gifts on Christmas morning.

We were very lucky to have Ms Sheridan in our class during science week. She presented a problem to the children and they had to use their own scientific knowledge to try and solve it. All children made fantastic suggestions and well done to those who guessed correctly. Thanks Ms Sheridan also.

We would like to say a big well done to all the children how took part in guitar over the past few weeks. The children worked very hard and this culminated in them performing at Christmas assembly. This is a fantastic achievement in a short period of time. Keep up the good work guys. Lessons will commence for the children from 3rd and 4th class after Christmas.    

Santa's Elves left each classroom a lovely hamper over the weekend. The hampers contain some chocolate, art & crafts, colouring books etc. Lines can be bought from the class teacher for €2 or 3 for €5. Hampers will be raffled on the night of the Christmas Plays.
