Children’s Sporting Achievements
Well done to Niall Donlon and the Cavan Lakers Under 12 Lions who beat Muckno Lakers in the North East League Finals .
Well done to Eoin Burns who captained his U-8 team to win the Mullahoran Blitz at the weekend.
Well done to Ailish from 4th class who competed in a showjumping competition. Ailish won a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons over the Easter holidays. She also received a trophy for making the best effort during these competitions. This is a fantastic achievement.

Malin Head to Mizen Head
As part of our journey to achieve an Active Flag for the school every class is participating in a running initiative. Together we are running the combined distance from Malin Head to Mizen Head. To do this every class runs a set distance every week. These distances are combined and tracked on our Active School Noticeboard.
The initiative is heading into its third week now and everyone is really enjoying it. We hope to reach our goal of running 664km during Active Week which will coincide with the Easter Holidays. Check out our slow motion video of the kids from 1st to 4th class completing their run in week two:
Soccer training takes place every Monday from 3pm-4pm. The boys have already participated in one tournament and have another coming up in the next few weeks.
On the 10th of February at 10.00am the children all engaged in physical activity for 10 minutes in conjunction with RTÉ’s Operation Transformation. A great time was had by both students and teachers. We look forward to this again next year.
